IRONCAT: Kitty and the dolphin

Dolphin: Come play in the water. It’s nice.
Cat: No.
Dolphin: It’s so much fun playing and splashing and swimming and… playing…
Cat: Stop hitting me on the head.
Dolphin: Don’t be sore with me. Just ’cause I can swim and you can’t.
Cat: Come here and say that. Oh yes, you’re delicious.
IRONCAT: Kitty survives Japan tsunami
25 MarWhen natural disasters occur, it’s painful to watch the images on the TV and learn of the tragic stories of loss. The loss of human life is devastating, and for me, the loss of animal lives even more so.
I was inspired however when I discovered one brave kitty managed to survive the Japan earthquake and tsunami. As her Mama came home with a film crew to inspect the remnants of their destroyed house, kitty came downstairs to show everyone just how brave she was.

Did you hear about the orange tabby who chased a black bear up a tree?
The bear wandered into a New Jersey back yard, was confronted by a 7 kilogram tabby cat… and fled up a neighbor’s tree. Hissing at the base of the tree, Jack the cat kept the bear at bay for about 15 minutes, then ran him up another tree after an attempted escape.
Finally, Jack’s Mama called him inside, and the timorous trespasser disappeared back into the woods.
Full-grown black bears weigh over 90 kilos. Their diets can include fruits, honey, insects, acorns and animals as big as sheep – a fact apparently lost on Jack.
